The visual arts department of the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental du Pays de Saint-Omer is bringing to a close its cycle of exhibitions focusing on the links between art and architecture by welcoming Apolline Ducrocq.
This young artist from Dunkirk is putting on an exhibition entitled "Gravats Itinérants".
The exhibition will run at the CRD, on the site of the Saint-Omer art school, from 10 April to 8 June 2024.

Apolline Ducrocq's artistic projects begin with an exploration of a building site. Her eye is drawn to dismantled elements, fragments of life, projections of development. The result is a physical or immaterial transport of the material into the studio space. Once back in the studio, the objects are amalgamated with photographs or other materials.
This process gives rise to a new vision of what might appear to be waste. In this way, Apolline Ducrocq reveals what is being built and what is being destroyed, but also, more intimately, the memory of a human presence and projections for the future.
