In 1897, thanks to a mill on the banks of the River Aa in Wizernes, Jules Leroux set up a winding cardboard factory. In 1911, the company set up a second factory in Wardrecques. It became larger than the first site, particularly with the production of corrugated board from 1936 onwards. However, the horrors of the Second World War wiped out both plants. At the end of the conflict, the decision to rebuild only the Wardrecques site laid the foundations for a company that is now France's number 1 corrugated sheetboard manufacturer.
