Countess Sandelin loves to entertain. So it's hardly surprising that she had a splendid town house built right in the heart of the town, so that she could easily bring together friends and acquaintances from Audomar! One of her favourite forms of entertainment, apart from games, was organising balls for her guests. This practice was no longer reserved for the King's court, and not a moment too soon! Music was everywhere in the salons: from the portrait of this young boy holding a cistre (a kind of lute) to the harp and even the piano. Everything is there for you to learn the minuet or the contredanse with the Countess. So dance now!
