The estaminet La Baguernette welcomes you to the heart of the Marais Audomarois, 4 km from Saint-Omer, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Two beautifully decorated dining rooms are complemented by pretty shaded terraces in summer. The speciality, suckling pig cooked in a wood-fired oven for 8 hours, is a delight! Everything is good in the pig: grilled tripe, pig burger, homemade suckling pig terrine... Not forgetting the must-try Flemish dishes: carbonnade, welsh, tartouille au maroilles, caramelised French toast, baba au rhum, as well as tasty vegetarian dishes.
We strongly advise you to book at weekends and public holidays.
Just a stone's throw from the Étangs du Romelaëre Nature Reserve, the restaurant, which has been awarded the "Estaminet Randonnée" label, also offers Flemish games.
After your meal, set off to discover the last cultivated marshland in France: guided tours by boat or traditional ferry, or explore the marsh on your own in one of our boats or canoes. Exclusive: a covered restaurant boat offering meals prepared by the chef on board, brunches and aperitifs.
In season, let yourself be tempted by a gourmet snack: ice cream, waffles or beer pie...
Please note: Dogs are allowed on all ISNOR services (boat, bacôve, rowing boats, canoes, picnic areas, restaurant and gîte) except for the Marais & Réserve tour (dogs are not allowed to walk back via the Romelaëre).
La Baguernette can also accommodate groups of up to 90 people indoors and 72 on the terrace. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any specific requests.
