LYRIC ART FESTIVAL

“La Biennale Là Haut is a festival dedicated to lyrical art founded in 2022 by Miroirs Étendus. After the success of the first edition, the Biennale Là Haut will take off again in Saint-Omer from May 22 to 24, 2025, then in Tourcoing and Roubaix from May 25 to June 14. The rebel lions with pink fingernails who have invaded our poster this year invite you to share in the sweet, dizzying emotions that song has the power to give. Against the imperialisms and separatisms that are regaining ground, song is a force for resistance, humanity and openness. With opera performances, augmented concerts, musical theater, musical bike rides, recitals and evening events, each edition of the Là Haut Biennial gives wings to the diversity of lyrical creation in a festive atmosphere. Come and explore a piece of the sky with us. The Là Haut Biennial is organized by Miroirs Étendus, with the complicity of the Atelier Lyrique de Tourcoing, la Barcarolle in Saint-Omer, and la Condition Publique in Roubaix.” A PROGRAM HIGH IN POETRY THURSDAY, MAY 22, 2025: – Choir workshop: Chantez Là Haut! at 7pm, Foyer du Moulin à Café. Compagnie Carabosse / Sophie Réteaux and Didier Hennuyer, organ. “Compagnie Carabosse is known the world over for its large-scale fire installations in public spaces. With their giant torches, glowing forges and beating machinery, the poet-craftsmen who animate them create magical journeys that show the city in a different light, at night, thanks to the magic of fire. For the second edition of the Là Haut Biennial, the Carabosse company makes a stopover in Saint-Omer, where it takes over the Tourist Office Garden to make it sing with fire. Just next door, the night vibrates thanks to organists Sophie Réteaux and Didier Hennuyer, who take possession of the unique instrument at Notre-Dame de Saint-Omer Cathedral. Join us from 9.30pm on Place Victor Hugo for the lighting, and a magical evening.” – Organized with the support of lille3000 INFORMATION AND BOOKING from La Barcarolle at www.labarcarolle.org
