This Pentecost weekend, the Pays de Saint-Omer is the place to be from Friday June 6 to Monday June 9! Our region has never hosted so many major events in such a short period, and it would be a shame not to take advantage of them.
If you’re a fan of street arts, you’ll be delighted with the 9th edition of the Festival “Sous les pavé… l’Art! If you’re a fan of world music, head to the A travers champs cultural space for a duo concert of Carnatic music, with rhythms from elsewhere and Indian melodies. Alternatively, the market concert at Saint-Omer Cathedral will reveal works played on the organ. For garden lovers, the “rendez-vous aux jardins” will take you to Marike’s Garden at the gateway to Aire-sur-la-Lys, or on a boat tour with Eden62 and the Pays d’art et d’histoire. Or maybe you’d prefer the cauliflower walk and its farmers’ market, or the big flea markets on Sunday in Mametz and Monday in Thérouanne. Last but not least, the Hungry Color Festival also promises to be a great party, with a lot of fun to be had from walking, colored powder and DJ concerts until the end of the night… Everyone will find an excuse to join in the fun and come to the Saint-Omer region!
