To mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day and the Liberation, La Coupole presents its
new temporary exhibition. From Operation Fortitude to D-Day, this exhibition looks at the Liberation, which is often associated with a period of jubilation, but which also saw many massacres. One section is devoted to the tragedy of the "Last Train from Loos", a deportation convoy that left on the eve of the Liberation. The views of the Allies and the Germans will be explored, as will the reaction of the local population and the role they played during this period. Exceptional objects and outfits representing each liberating troop will be on display for the first time.
