This concert is part of the Festival "Les rencontres des musiques anciennes du pays de Saint-Omer", which returns this autumn with 3 new shows presented in 8 concerts by Lyric & co, La Divine Comédie, and Il Buranello.
"Beatles or not to Beatles - La Divine Comédie

This project reinvents the tradition of quodlibet, the art of counterpoint practised since the fifteenth century, by adapting it to the world of the Beatles. Through an original mashup of sounds from the Renaissance, the era of Francis I and Henry VIII and pop rock, it offers a sonic journey where past and present engage in dialogue. An elegant, timeless performance that illustrates the musical continuity between eras.
As part of Heritage Days
Sunday 21 September 2025 at 3pm in Hallines church (duration 1 hour)
and at 5pm at La Chapelle des Jésuites Saint-Omer (duration 1 hour).
This show will also be performed on Saturday 20 September 2025 at 2pm: Nort-Leulinghem church - concert accompanied by a guided tour (total duration 1 hour 45 minutes), and at 4.30pm: Saint Denis church in Saint-Omer (duration 1 hour).
