A film by Élise and Louis-Marie Blanchard
What is a forest? Can forests be exploited in an environmentally friendly way? What place is our society prepared to give to "wild nature"? What is our relationship with other living beings? The forest, which now covers a third of France, is a place that is both familiar and mysterious, a place of fears, myths and imagination, but also a place of essential resources and a fragile ecosystem that must be protected and allowed to flourish. Four years of trekking and investigative work provide an overview and inventory of France's forests, with a look at some emblematic sites.
Screening followed by a discussion between the audience and the director.
Open to all.
Duration: approx. 2 hours.
