A film by Lynda Paquette and Martin Parent | All audiences Running time: approx. 2 hours
The island of Newfoundland is located in eastern Canada. Its majestic fjords, rugged coastlines and protective bays have been shaped by the sea, and so has its history. Over time, people have braved the storms to reach its shores. Aboriginals, Vikings, Basque and Breton fishermen, French, English and Irish settlers. What legacy did these people leave behind? It was with this question in mind that Lynda and Martin travelled around Newfoundland. They met fishermen, artists and writers, all committed to preserving their traditions.
