At the end of this course, which is resolutely practical, you will be able to use your instrument, put it to work on the sky, know what to look at and when. In short, the first keys to getting started independently observing the heavens, using your telescope or eyepiece; choosing your eyepiece; reading ephemerides; preparing your evening; setting up your instrument; learning about self-pointing mounts.
The course will also cover celestial mechanics, optics (magnification, focal length, etc.) and, of course, astronomy.
