The first edition of the Salon du Papier et du Carton will take place at La Station in Saint-Omer on Friday, November 17 and Saturday, November 18, 2023! Destined for schoolchildren, jobseekers and people undergoing retraining on Friday, it will welcome the general public on Saturday. Discover an exciting industry of the future through its trades, training courses and crafts!
On the program:
– Fun and hands-on discoveries of the know-how and trades of the region’s paper industry (SICAL, RDM, BePaper, Norpaper, Cartonneries de Gondardennes, Arc Packaging).
– Paper and industrial training available in the area (Laho Formation, Lycée Blaise Pascal, LYPSO and Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications – Industrie et Transition Numérique).
– Loop of circular economy, recycling with the presence of CAPSO.
– Exhibition of creations by primary and secondary school pupils who took part in the competition.
– Centenary history of paper mills on the Aa Valley territory.
– Stunning and delicate handcrafted paper and cardboard creations.
Also worth noting: the Salon du Livre et du Papier takes place in Lumbres this Sunday, November 19!
