Description
La Grange nature is delighted to invite you to this lecture on the Great Cormorant, an emblematic bird at the heart of sometimes sensitive ecological and management issues. This talk, given by Alain Ward, will focus on the theme of "How could the rescue of an endangered species lead to the return of its persecution?
After shedding light on the causes of the cormorant's decline and those that led to the restoration of its numbers, this talk will trace: its gradual return to the region between 1990 and 2025, its resettlement, first for wintering and then for breeding, and the reconquest of its historic territories.
Does the current situation of the Great Cormorant point to a peaceful future... or new tensions?
