Salle Balavoine, salle de spectacle

The Salle Balavoine in Arques offers dance and amplified music performances, as well as other venues in the conurbation. The structure's artistic project is to encourage as many encounters with the works and artists as possible, thanks to a major programme of partnerships and cultural initiatives, so that the venues become places of life, emotions and sharing, linking the region to the world of live performance.
The architecture of the building is designed like the half-hull of an upside-down boat. The reference to the marine environment is reinforced by the blue colour of the cladding and the large portholes used as windows at the artists' entrances.
Since 2016, following a merger between the Balavoine cultural centre and the Saint-Omer cultural centre, the Salle Balavoine has been one of the venues operated by both La Barcarolle and the town of Arques.
