[DANCE] ENTRELACS by the Mouvemen(T)-és Company
‘Entrelacs’ represents the possibility of a convergence – a convergence between the arts, between disciplines. Musical movement and dance blend in a dialogue imbued with joy and gentleness: this male-female duo offers a space of reciprocity, sharing and tenderness, drawing its inspiration from works of sculpture and painting (engaging, for example, in a dialogue with the sculptures in the Rodin Gallery at the Calais Museum of Fine Arts).
The musical composition – a live electro-percussive piece, gentle and organic – is an original work in which the rhythmic dimension unfolds like a beating heart. By engaging with a repertoire such as Ravel’s Boléro, it weaves links between past and present.
