[DANCE] ENTRELACS by the Mouvemen(T)-és Company
‘Entrelacs’ represents the possibility of a convergence – a convergence between the arts, between disciplines. Musical movement and dance blend in a dialogue imbued with joy and gentleness: this male-female duo offers a space of reciprocity, sharing and tenderness, drawing its inspiration from works of sculpture and painting (engaging, for example, in dialogue with the sculptures in the Rodin Gallery at the Calais Museum of Fine Arts).
The musical composition – a live electro-percussive piece, gentle and organic – is an original work in which the rhythmic dimension unfolds like a beating heart. By engaging with a repertoire such as Ravel’s Boléro, it weaves links between past and present.
