Every year in Saint-Omer, on the last Sunday in July, colourful floats parade along the water. Volunteers spend months preparing and organising this popular festival, which is an essential part of the Auvergne landscape.

"The Cortège Nautique is first and foremost a popular, friendly festival run by passionate volunteers!
As a prelude, on Saturday 25 July: DJ entertainment from 8.30pm!
Sunday 26 July: All day long, there's plenty of entertainment for all the family:
9.30am-6pm: Large local produce market (on the edge of the Place de la Ghière),
2.30pm: Entertainment, funfair,
3.30pm: Parade of floral floats on the Haut-Pont canal,
6pm: Concert by the group "Color Snake", opening act Cléa & Alésia.
10pm: Night-time parade of floral floats,
11.30pm: Fireworks!
