Description
This grand harvest festival will stir feelings of nostalgia in our parents and grandparents, who remember the hard work in the fields and the joys of traditional harvesting. For one day, step back in time with your family thanks to demonstrations of various techniques and the use of some truly astonishing combine harvesters!
From 9.45 am, a religious service, followed at 10.45 am by an opening procession.
Throughout the day: traditional games, a local produce market, pony rides, followed by demonstrations of flail threshing, traditional threshing, farm work, exhibitions of vintage machinery and lorries, a horse-drawn carousel, a treadle thresher and a hay rake.
Refreshment stands and various food outlets on site.
