What is ‘Conteurs en campagne’? It’s a festival featuring professional storytellers from all over France who travel through the rural villages of our region and set up shop there for one or two performances, in partnership with CAPSO and its network of libraries. With shows for young audiences, families, musical performances and adult audiences, there’s something for everyone in this highly eclectic programme. Once again this year, the library network is hosting several artists. Not yet familiar with the libraries in the network? Here’s a great opportunity to discover them, whatever your age. “Barbe Blues” by Elodie Mora What if Bluebeard were, in fact, a love story? This is the story of a shy young girl, whose father decides to turn her into a fighter, because you have to stand up for yourself in life. She becomes Coud’boule, a real tough cookie who crushes everything in her path. Until one day, everything changes and the shadows emerging from the night reassert themselves, leading her to dream of the fantastical tale of a young woman forced to marry a bloodthirsty monster – the serial killer of fairy tales.
