Exhibition in partnership with the Frac Grand-Large, as part of the Bicentenary of Photography
Aglaia Konrad, an Austrian artist living in Belgium, photographs urban processes in various cities. Like an archaeologist, she delves into the significance of the various layers that make up the city. The BT# series of photographs features the Boekentoren (Book Tower) to mark the restoration of this iconic building of Belgian modernism.
This library at the University of Ghent was designed in 1935 by the great architect Henri Van de Velde, a direct precursor of the Bauhaus.
