EMPATHIE 🏆 Audience Award, SERIES MANIA 2025

A word from Séries Mania
*Empathie* marks the debut of Quebec fiction in the International Competition. Florence Longpré (*Le temps des framboises*, *M’entends-tu ?*) turns her sensitive and unique gaze upon the patients and medical staff of a prison psychiatric hospital. A psychological drama that sheds light on mental illness, enhanced by the direction of her long-time collaborator Guillaume Lonergan and the warm performance of Thomas Ngijol in an unexpected role.
